Alessandra (Ally) Velsor is the girl in your small group, or big gathering, who isn’t afraid to speak up when given the chance, but doesn’t know how to ultimately belong. Ally is proudly half-Italian and half-Puerto Rican, and a self-proclaimed introvert, idealist, and perfectionist. Her father owned various restaurants in Puerto Rico and Florida which made her vow to herself she would never work in a restaurant… ever! Her energy was spent in school; she took delight in her studies in hopes to someday become a TV Producer/Writer, or a Meteorologist as she enjoyed learning about all things weather. After graduating with high honors, her dreams of working in the television field faded, as there were no opportunities during the 2008 writers’ strike. She did the unthinkable and applied to work as a server at a restaurant located in her home church. During her seven years in ministry, Ally worked her way up to management, married the love of her life and the Executive Chef of the restaurant, Kenny Velsor, and upgraded their little family of three to four (our super cat Jack Bauer and Joshua Isaac Velsor).
